Description

Quilting began as a personal challenge for me. The challenge was to share in the construction of a quilt with a dear friend. Mom encouraged me to sew at an early age so this was an easy transition. And you guessed it… I caught the quilting bug!

From that time forward there hasn’t been enough time to keep up with the requests. A friend asked me what my purpose in life is and I replied to ensure that everyone has their own quilt. She looked at me like I was crazy, but once you see the look of joy on a person’s face when they receive a homemade quilt nothing can hold you back from starting the next project.

For the right cause I will donate my time to make a quilt. Donations have been given to many causes including the following:
~ Ladies Only Spring Fling with proceeds to Camp Circle of Friends where kids with cancer attend camp
~ Marcelin Centennial with proceeds to the Village of Marcelin (my hometown)
~ fundraiser for a local woman attacked by a dog with proceeds to help pay for medical procedures preformed outside of Canada
~ fundraiser for a child fighting leukemia with proceeds to help the family with living expenses.

~ Baby W Quilt - initial of last name in center of quilt for friend's baby shower
~ Fish Bowl – high school graduation gift for my niece
